Layna LoCascio- Music Director
At TLC, we love to worship our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ! Our worship team is led by our Pastor’s wife, Layna LoCascio. Layna graduated from the Jackson College of Ministries with a bachelor’s degree in music. We believe in Biblical worship in music. We do not want to pattern ourselves after what ‘tradition’ says, but after what the Word of God says about music and worship. The focus and aim of our worship ministry is to point worshipers to the One true God and to see His glory displayed in our midst. We encourage people to come and build a stronger, more intimate relationship with the Lord. Everything done through our worship ministry is to minster to our Audience of One – the Lord Jesus Christ. We are not performers, we are worshipers! Music is only one way to worship; however, at TLC, worship is the only way for our music.
How We Worship
We love many instruments and it’s our desire to use them in praise to the Most High. Psalm 98:4 says “Make a joyful noise unto the Lord, all the earth: make a loud noise, and rejoice, and sing praise.” Here at TLC, we love to sing new music, older songs and hymns alike. We enjoy a variety of worship styles. During a worship service, you may find some who are quiet and thoughtful, others may jump and raise their hands, clap, cry aloud and pray. We want to demonstrate how we feel about God and to show Him we love Him. Even when our physical bodies may not feel like praising, we know the Bible declares – ‘let the redeemed of the Lord say so.’ Isaiah 61:3 reminds us to put on the garment of praise for the spirit of heaviness. Praise is the remedy for depression and should be a joyful experience. Here at TLC, our time of worship is for praising the One who brought us out of darkness into His marvelous light.
We Need Worship
Lives are changed at TLC! We want our music to usher in the presence of God. We want people to be touched by the Master and for lives to be forever changed. When you enter the presence of God, you will never be the same again. Our lives are designed for worship. Come and learn why we worship our heavenly Father, the Lord Jesus Christ, in spirit and truth.
