The Season of God

Ecc 3:1-11 “To every thing there is a season, and a time to every purpose under the heaven: A time to be born, and a time to die; a time to plant, and a time to pluck up that which is planted; A time to kill, and a time to heal; a time to break down, and a time to build up; A time to weep, and a time to laugh; a time to mourn, and a time to dance; A time to cast away stones, and a time to gather stones together; a time to embrace, and a time to refrain from embracing; A time to get, and a time to lose; a time to keep, and a time to cast away; A time to rend, and a time to sew; a time to keep silence, and a time to speak; A time to love, and a time to hate; a time of war, and a time of peace. What profit hath he that worketh in that wherein he laboureth? I have seen the travail, which God hath given to the sons of men to be exercised in it. He hath made every thing beautiful in his time: also he hath set the world in their heart, so that no man can find out the work that God maketh from the beginning to the end.”

There is a time and a season appointed for everything God has planned. There is a time and a season for the reign and ruin of the anti-Christ. There is a time and season for when Jesus will reign on earth.

Why do we struggle with personal times and seasons in our lives? If God has a time and season for all things, why not in your personal life as well?

There is an appointed length of time for seasons, winter, summer, just as there is an appointed time for the circumstances in your life, suffering or flourishing. We live in a dimension of linear time. We can’t go back and forth in time, only forward.

God knows what’s going on!

Everything, in every circumstance there is an appointed season ordained by God. You may have a great desire or great plan and God may allow that contrary to His will, but only so far. There is an appointed season for the homosexual agenda and for the rule of this current world. Whether it is man, satan, angels, God has given a season for it. If He hasn’t, it’s not going to happen.

Even in Job’s life, the devil had to ask permission to do what he did. God allowed that for a season. You could say it was in the will of God.

God gets in the way of our agendas. Sometimes we may feel our lives look like a mess or that there is some evil or some kind of mistake that God is somehow unaware of. That’s not true. God is there and He knows exactly what He’s about. He gets involved in your life and He works His own will.

Who is really in charge of your life? Is it you or Jesus?

God is not looking for answers. He already has it all figured out.

Don’t put God in a box. He gets out of them all the time.

Everything has a season and God is sovereign.

An important key to peace and understanding the ways of God is the fact that in the core being and nature of God is goodness. God is good—always!

Rom 8:28 “And we know that all things work together for good to them that love God, to them who are the called according to his purpose.”

God sees all the way from A to Z. Man can sometimes see all the way to C or D or even G, but God sees all the way to the end.

It’s a New Season for your life right now! God has an appointment and season for everything in your life.

Everything has an appointment in time and it’s not forever. Everything you’re going through has an end. It says over 400 times in Scripture, ‘It came to pass…’ That means something has a beginning and ending.

1. God has a universal will for mankind that is the same for everybody—the Universal Will of God. To submit all your seasons of life to God is so much better. Pro 29:18 “Where there is no vision, the people perish: but he that keepeth the law, happy is he.” If you want peace, happiness, and clarity of thought, keep the will of God and these things will be yours. God’s things are not temporal, but eternal. He will not change. People have failed to see God’s vision. There will be revival. Transformation is the will of God. Lives being touched and changed is the will of God. The living God says that revival is in His plan for your life. There will be a conquering of false religions and the spirits of murder and greed and political corruption. There will be a release of Truth in this city.

Mark 16:15-18,20 “And he said unto them, Go ye into all the world, and preach the gospel to every creature. He that believeth and is baptized shall be saved; but he that believeth not shall be damned. And these signs shall follow them that believe; In my name shall they cast out devils; they shall speak with new tongues; They shall take up serpents; and if they drink any deadly thing, it shall not hurt them; they shall lay hands on the sick, and they shall recover.” (vs 20) “And they went forth, and preached every where, the Lord working with them, and confirming the word with signs following. Amen.”

This is the will of God for everyone.

Mat 16:24-25 “Then said Jesus unto his disciples, If any man will come after me, let him deny himself, and take up his cross, and follow me. For whosoever will save his life shall lose it: and whosoever will lose his life for my sake shall find it.”

John 15:16 “16 Ye have not chosen me, but I have chosen you, and ordained you, that ye should go and bring forth fruit, and that your fruit should remain: that whatsoever ye shall ask of the Father in my name, he may give it you.”

Mat 4:19 “19 And he saith unto them, Follow me, and I will make you fishers of men.”

2. God’s will for your individual life will not contradict His universal will. The unfolding of God’s will is different for individual people. One person works in one place and another in another place. Yet, together they are involved in God’s will to reach souls. Carnal seasons will perpetuate the spiritual will of God.

Joseph was a part of the universal will of God. God wanted to preserve His people and He needed to save the lives of Jacob and his family. So, God downloaded a dream into the individual, Joseph.

How do your decisions fit with God’s universal will? If they don’t, change. He has a purpose for your life. He has an agenda. There is a universal call from God.

Your season, your carnal, earthly season is changing. You will experience that by the revelation of God.

The personal will of God for your life will not distract you, it will agree with His universal will. It is tailor-made just for you, but will never contradict His universal will. God will use earthly, temporal seasons to get His plan in your life. Understanding and recognizing that this is God’s plan and will for your life.

Joseph needed to get in touch with the butler. That happened in a prison. This is not designed to destroy you, but to develop you into God’s plan. Pharaoh wasn’t a good man, but he was a tool used by God.

Look to Jesus, the author and finisher of your faith. He has a universal, eternal plan for your life. It doesn’t matter if I have a scholarship to a great college to study acting. If that contradicts God’s will, I’ll leave it behind.

Is it the will of God for you to come to church on Sunday? Of course, it is!

Heb 10:25 “Not forsaking the assembling of ourselves together, as the manner of some is; but exhorting one another: and so much the more, as ye see the day approaching.”

Is it the will of God for you to take that job or that career that hinders that plan? It’s easy to make decisions when you walk in the universal will of God.

You obey and watch God do the supernatural things in your life!

Mat 16:15-18 “He saith unto them, But whom say ye that I am? And Simon Peter answered and said, Thou art the Christ, the Son of the living God. And Jesus answered and said unto him, Blessed art thou, Simon Barjona: for flesh and blood hath not revealed it unto thee, but my Father which is in heaven. And I say also unto thee, That thou art Peter, and upon this rock I will build my church; and the gates of hell shall not prevail against it.”

Jesus is going to build a church and entrance unto death will not snuff out what He is going to do. The death of preachers will not stop the purpose and plan of God.
