If You Dream It, God Can Do It!

Eph 3:20 “Now unto him that is able to do exceeding abundantly above all that we ask or think, according to the power that worketh in us,”

Joshua 6:1-5 “Now Jericho was straitly shut up because of the children of Israel: none went out, and none came in. And the Lord said unto Joshua, See, I have given into thine hand Jericho, and the king thereof, and the mighty men of valour. And ye shall compass the city, all ye men of war, and go round about the city once. Thus shalt thou do six days. And seven priests shall bear before the ark seven trumpets of rams’ horns: and the seventh day ye shall compass the city seven times, and the priests shall blow with the trumpets. And it shall come to pass, that when they make a long blast with the ram’s horn, and when ye hear the sound of the trumpet, all the people shall shout with a great shout; and the wall of the city shall fall down flat, and the people shall ascend up every man straight before him.”

God has had enough of faith talking and He wants us to do some faith walking.

Before the city fell, the people had to walk.

If you don’t walk around the city, it stays intact. If you don’t do, it won’t happen. If you don’t do what God wants, it won’t happen. We are going to rearrange some borders in our city!

There is a challenge to Fast and Pray in War against the things that are hindering us in the spirit. You have the capacity to be great! You don’t have to be anything to be great, but you have to start to be great. Don’t forget that innate in you there is the capacity to be great.

In Scripture, it’s the down and outers that God called. Mary wasn’t any different from anybody else when she became the mother of Jesus. She was in the upper room and received the Holy Ghost on the Day of Pentecost just like the disciples and the rest of the 120.

If America forgets she has the ability to be great, she will fall. —George Bush

Nehemiah said, ‘Don’t forget why you are here.’

There are walls that need to come down and walls that need to be built. You have the capacity for greatness.

Nehemiah began the work of rebuilding the walls and all kinds of resistance came against him. Don’t be surprised if the same things happen to you when you try to do God’s will.

The walls that fell down in Jericho fell down supernaturally. The walls that Nehemiah built were built naturally.

Nehemiah gave a speech saying, ‘Don’t forget who you are. You are noble men. Don’t be discouraged. You have the capacity for greatness. Tap into it!’

Mat 13:23 “But he that received seed into the good ground is he that heareth the word, and understandeth it; which also beareth fruit, and bringeth forth, some an hundredfold, some sixty, some thirty.”

Gideon must’ve thought he had the capacity to be great. He wanted so badly to be sure it was God. He knew if it was truly God, he could do it. It wasn’t about Gideon’s ability. It was about this all being really God.

You’ve touched your vile side. Inside there is a capacity for ignorance. There is a capacity for arrogance. There is a capacity for foolishness for irresponsibility and failure and gossip and judgement. It’s time to tap into your capacity for greatness. Have you tapped into your capacity for love? Where is the Saul who becomes Paul? Where is Esther choosing to go before the king and plead for her people?

Don’t be satisfied with ordinary. Dream. Imagine.

God already gave you Jericho, walk around the city and be ready with your sword.

In The Voyage of the Dawn Treader by C. S. Lewis, Prince Caspian’s crew began to complain. There was little food and no land in sight. They threatened mutiny. Caspian said, ‘How did you get on this ship? On the Dawn Treader, only the valiant, the truly noble, and the greatest are on this ship. You were chosen and expected to be men of valor and endurance. Sail on!’ The crew straightened up.

That is all fiction, but Nehemiah gave a similar speech, ‘You are the noble, valiant, chosen for the task at hand. Take a hammer in one hand and a dagger in the other. The work will continue. When an enemy comes, we will fight, not just for ourselves, but for our children, our wives, and our land.’ They believed and the walls were built.

God said, ‘If you obey Me, I will give you this city.’

God will take care of the walls, you take care of the walk. Pick up the hammer and a dagger, whatever you’ve got, and allow yourself to tap into whatever greatness He allows you to be.

How did you get on this ship? Excellence is not a suggestion. If you are called to be an hundred-fold, don’t settle for sixty!

If you are called, there is no greater cause than the cause of God!

Jesus looked at His disciples and asked, ‘What do ye more others? Unless your righteousness exceeds the Pharisees, nothing will get done.’

Men and women of old fasted and prayed. Great revivals started with prayer and fasting. Get your connection with God stronger. Your greatest strength is your oneness WITH God.

Psalm 126:5 “They that sow in tears shall reap in joy.”

Pray, Fast, and Walk! You owe it to the people around you! It’s time to cause trouble for the trouble maker—the enemy of your soul!
